Extra Space is seeking a seasoned and dynamic individual to oversee sales and marketing, manage third-party relationships, and handle storage and working space for our Bizplus segment. The ideal candidate will be part of the “growth team”, to grow the business in multiple locations, running day-to-day operations, overseeing the business and its expansion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive and build Bizplus business through lead sales and marketing, sourcing for community events, relationship building with channel partners and managing leads and pipeline.
  • Responsible for existing client renewals, expansions, and cross-sell self-storage services to extend a seamless service to customers
  • Drive sales for ancillary areas, to promote the usage of the space and Bizplus
  • Work with Investment team to expand Bizplus business
  • Develop standard operating procedures and house rules from setup to daily management of the business including product standards and training materials
  • Develop automated processes for sales, delivery of services and customer management
  • Implement systems and policies to ensure operations comply with applicable laws, government, and building regulations
  • Manage all  vendor relationships directly and oversee procurement for operating items, ensuring appropriate stocking and cost control measures are in place.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven  experience in co-working, leasing, sales, community building, marketing, or business development.
  • Strong  knowledge of vendor management, contract negotiation, and performance evaluation.
  • Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and with an entrepreneur’s mindset
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • 3-5 years of relevant working experience.
  • 5.5 days work week (alternate Sat)
  • Working hours: 9:00am to 6:00pm (Monday to Friday) and 9:00am to 1:00pm (alternate Saturday)

This role supports the Technical Supervisor on the maintenance and servicing of the facilities and attend to all customers’ deliveries efficiently and professionally on a timely basis.

  1. Driving and Vehicle Operation: Operate and maintain a delivery vehicle, ensuring it is safe and in good working condition.
  2. Loading and Unloading: Safely load and unload boxes, ensuring secure transport and proper handling at customer locations.
  3. Customer Service: Communicate with customers about delivery schedules, address any issues, and ensure accurate delivery with proper documentation.
  4. Documentation and Record-Keeping: Handle delivery paperwork and complete administrative tasks, such as filling out forms and reporting maintenance statuses.
  5. Time Management and Physical Tasks: Manage time effectively to meet delivery deadlines, perform physical tasks like lifting and carrying boxes, and handle routine building maintenance duties.

Requirements:

  • Possess valid Class 3 driving license
  • Knowledge of plumbing, electrical and carpentry is a plus
  • Ability to work in a team and follow instructions from supervisors
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and other manuals and documents
  • An interest in working with people and the ability to cheerfully provide great service with a smile.
  • Able to work comfortably with mobile or computer-related work
  • Working hours: 9:00am to 6:00pm (Monday to Friday) and 9:00am to 1:00pm (Saturday)
